Senior Program Analyst (Maintenance Assistant Requirements Officer) (Naval Aviation Maintenance): Analyzing aircraft, engine, and support equipment logistics, maintenance requirements, program performance, and budgets for Navy and Marine Corps aviation programs with an accent on JCIDS documentation, POM/FYDP planning, depot maintenance, and readiness. Focus on evaluating acquisition and sustainment impacts, defending fleet-generated requirements, monitoring execution of approved funds, and advising leadership on aviation maintenance programs.

Location: Onsite at the Pentagon in Washington, DC

Salary: $109,940.00–$164,795.00 per year

What you will do

  • Support the Maintenance Requirements Officer through all phases of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process.
  • Analyze aircraft, engine, and support equipment logistics, depot maintenance, acquisition, sustainment, and material readiness requirements.
  • Prepare, review, route, and finalize requirements documents, technical reports, issue sheets, briefing materials, and responses to Navy, OSD, and Congressional taskers.
  • Research program requirements, resourcing, performance, technology trends, and the impact of programmatic changes.
  • Support POM, FYDP, budget execution, PBIS monitoring, budget exhibit reviews, and assessment of program budget decisions.
  • Advise OPNAV leadership and coordinate with NAVAIR, Fleet Readiness Centers, OSD, HQMC Aviation, and other Navy and Joint Service organizations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 13 years of aviation maintenance managerial experience.
  • High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree is desired but not required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of naval aviation, the Flying Hour Program, aircraft and engine depot maintenance, Integrated Logistics Support, and material readiness.
  • Understanding of Echelon 1 staff functions and relationships with other echelon commands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for briefing slides, metric charts, graphics, and leadership documents.
  • Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
