TL;DR
Program Management (PM) Specialist – DoD Acquisition Analyst (DoD acquisition and space systems): Supporting DoD program leadership with contract development, acquisition documentation, technical evaluations, and lifecycle management with an accent on PWS/SOW, CDRLs, pre-award documentation, and FAR/DFARS compliance. Focus on developing acquisition strategies, coordinating with government contracting stakeholders, and managing complex systems and services procurements.

Location: On-site in San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $80,000–$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and credentials.

What you will do

  • Support Government program leadership with acquisition and contract documentation development, review, and execution.
  • Develop and refine Performance Work Statements, Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, acquisition strategies, and related artifacts.
  • Prepare pre-award materials, including source selection plans, evaluation criteria, and Justification & Approval packages.
  • Conduct technical evaluations, document findings, and provide recommendations to program leadership.
  • Coordinate with Program Managers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and Contracting Officers to support acquisition execution.
  • Track contract correspondence and support program reviews, technical discussions, and contract lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition program offices or similar Federal acquisition environments.
  • Experience developing SOWs, PWSs, SOOs, and CDRLs.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense FAR Supplement.
  • Experience with pre-solicitation activities, acquisition planning, requirements development, and technical evaluations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, engineering, business, or the sciences; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is also required.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting ACAT I or Major Defense Acquisition Programs, particularly in the space domain.
  • Experience with Cost-Plus and Firm Fixed Price contracts.
  • Familiarity with DoD or U.S. Space Force acquisition processes and organizations.
