Product Designer, Core Apps (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA. Hybrid policy: staff must work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $305,000–$385,000 USD.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, AI researchers, and other stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and shipped experiences.
• Design core Claude applications and tools for coding, work, design, and other daily activities.
• Understand product architecture and define primitives for emerging AI capabilities.
• Create polished interfaces and improve the quality and consistency of broader product flows.
• Prototype and communicate ideas through code, design, and interactive prototypes.
• Ship and iterate quickly in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments.

Requirements

• Experience designing and shipping complex workflows, enterprise or B2B SaaS, developer tools, or API products end to end.
• Demonstrated experience executing on large and complex products in ambiguous environments.
• Portfolio showing user-centered design thinking and polished UI craftsmanship.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code in design practice.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.

Nice to have

• Experience prototyping with frontend code such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to influence without authority.
• Passion for building safe and beneficial AI technologies.
