Product Designer - US Government

Location: Washington, D.C.; hybrid work

Salary: $105,000–$175,000 per year, plus potential restricted stock units, sign-on bonus, and other incentives.

What you will do

• Define product concepts, high-level workflows, micro-interactions, and visual designs for software interfaces.
• Conduct informal user research and adapt research methods to achieve useful outcomes.
• Create prototypes to communicate design ideas and validate decisions.
• Collaborate with product and forward-deployed engineers to prototype and build products.
• Design flexible, reusable UI components and advocate for UX consistency.
• Present mockups, prototypes, and design specifications while participating in design critiques.

Requirements

• Active US security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US security clearance.
• Portfolio demonstrating at least one software interface design project.
• Experience with mockup and prototyping tools.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript is appreciated.
