Purchasing Manager (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Plan and implement procurement activities for materials, parts, components, equipment, and services.
• Direct and supervise buyers, including performance management, talent development, and resource planning.
• Approve purchases within designated limits and coordinate purchasing with commodity managers and manufacturing departments.
• Build supplier relationships and negotiate effective, compliant procurement processes.
• Maintain material availability for production schedules, with particular attention to long-lead-time components.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives covering lead-time reduction, Min/Max, Kanban, consignment, and vendor-managed inventory programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of purchasing experience in high-tech manufacturing, including management of a buyer team.
• Previous direct supervisory and team leadership experience, including talent development and resource planning.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
• Strong supplier negotiation, decision-making, organizational, communication, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
