Manager, Software Engineering (Medtech)

Salary: $138,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across mobile applications, backend web services, data management, email, and push notifications.
• Recruit, manage, coach, and motivate a team of software engineers.
• Collaborate with product owners and UX engineers on product features and roadmaps.
• Coordinate project execution with technical project managers, QA, quality engineering, regulatory, and other stakeholders.
• Drive software quality, reliability, maintainability, cybersecurity, and compliance in a regulated medical device environment.
• Lead deployments and production support, including incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience leading or managing software engineering teams.
• 5+ years developing iOS and Android applications using Kotlin.
• 5+ years developing Java web services.
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Spring, Hibernate, and MySQL.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
