Senior Software Engineering Manager (AWS)

Location: Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; onsite 4 days per week

Salary: $175,200–$262,800 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and mentor software, data, DevOps, and cloud engineering professionals.
• Own and continuously improve the AWS Cloud Platform, including standards and configuration across more than 600 accounts.
• Oversee cloud deployment, account management, networking, provisioning, configuration guardrails, observability, and 24/7 operations.
• Develop reusable code artifacts, service catalog standards, CI/CD pipelines, and integrations for application-team self-service.
• Partner with engineering, security, privacy, legal, operations, AWS, and business stakeholders to deliver secure digital products.
• Manage scope, cost, schedule, resourcing, technical capability, compliance, and continuous improvement across cross-functional development programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, with 7+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
• Experience leading software engineering teams and managing digital products or software development projects.
• Strong technical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and personnel-development skills.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, automated testing, Agile methodologies, and AWS services.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering AWS cloud solutions in secure healthcare, finance, government, or other regulated environments.
• Experience with AI systems design and AI Operations.
• Experience with data platforms and standards, nearshore or offshore teams, and AWS certifications such as AWS Cloud Architect Professional.
