Manager, R&D Product Engineering (Bioprocessing)

Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year, plus eligibility for variable cash programs and, for eligible roles, equity.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, including goal setting and performance management.
• Own delivery of multiple product development programs against timeline, quality, and business objectives.
• Plan priorities and allocate resources across projects.
• Lead products from concept through qualification, launch, scale-up, and commercialization.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Product Management.
• Support technology transfer, manufacturing readiness, technical reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in product development or engineering.
• 3–5+ years of direct-report management experience.
• Experience leading projects, programs, or technical teams and mentoring engineers.
• Experience with structured product development processes such as stage-gate and design controls.
• Experience supporting product commercialization or transfer to manufacturing, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
