What you will do
- Lead the Sustaining Design Engineering and Engineering Services teams in Chandler, AZ.
- Guide technical execution across production support, design sustainment, and configuration management.
- Oversee root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce product variability and maximize performance.
- Manage department budgets and project task assignments within allocated timelines.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with integrated product teams to ensure full value stream support from procurement to shipment.
- Develop and monitor key performance metrics to align team efforts with overall business goals.
Requirements
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) is strictly required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical discipline.
- 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams.
- 7+ years of expertise in Mechanical/Ordnance Design Engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Lean or Six-Sigma principles (e.g., Toyota Production System).
- Strong knowledge of drafting principles, GD&T, DFMEA, and failure analysis processes like RCCA and FRACAS.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
- Significant experience in low-volume, high-mix aerospace or defense product manufacturing.
