Manager - IT Applications Lab Systems (Biotech)

Location: Troy, New York, United States. Work model: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; onsite expectations apply.

Salary: $92,200–$176,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Laboratory Systems team responsible for laboratory software lifecycle management.
• Oversee administration and enhancements for benchtop computer systems and instrument software, including Endoscan V, SoftMax Pro, and DataPro2.
• Coordinate requirements, system design priorities, implementation timelines, methods, records, policies, and procedures across laboratory departments.
• Partner with QA to maintain validated QC computers and software, implement change control, and support SDLC-based validation activities.
• Investigate software and IT hardware issues connected with QC instrumentation and support regulatory and internal audit readiness.
• Manage team performance, people development, operational budgets, and longer-term Lab Systems planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Associate Manager level: 6+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years managing teams.
• Manager level: 7+ years of relevant experience and 3+ years managing teams.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GAMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, ALCOA+, and data integrity in biopharmaceutical production.
• Ability to work onsite in Troy, New York, Monday through Friday during the stated working hours.

Nice to have

• ITIL certification and project management training.
• Experience with ServiceNow helpdesk ticketing systems.
• Experience with Regulatory Asset Manager systems.
