Senior Software Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: In-office in Charlotte, NC; Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; Birmingham, AL; Denver, CO; or Phoenix, AZ. Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow cross-functional teams of software engineers, Business Systems Analysts, and Scrum Masters.
• Own resource planning, intake management, capacity planning, prioritization, and roadmap execution.
• Provide technical leadership for Oracle Exadata, Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms, Informatica or similar integration tools, and PL/SQL solutions.
• Oversee data pipelines, performance tuning, scalability, reliability, security, and compliance of data platforms.
• Lead credit card platform modernization and transformation from legacy systems to real-time, data-driven architectures.
• Champion Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning, backlog grooming, delivery execution, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and at least 5 years of prior management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing cross-functional technical teams, including engineering, business analysis, and Scrum roles.
• Strong experience with Oracle Exadata, Kafka or data streaming, PL/SQL development, performance tuning, data analysis, and large-scale data processing.
• Experience supporting credit card systems or financial services modernization and applying Agile frameworks in enterprise environments.
• Must work from one of the specified hirify.global office locations in the United States; employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT are unavailable.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP data platforms.
• Background in real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.
• Executive communication and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience working in regulated environments, preferably financial services.
