Senior Proposal Writer/ Proposal Specialist (AEC Consulting)

Location: Florida-based; in-office four days per week at a hirify.global Florida office, with up to one remote day per week. Limited local or regional travel may be requested.

hirify.global provides niche consulting services for architecture, engineering, and construction, including building envelope, energy efficiency, sustainability, code advisory, and construction advisory projects.

What you will do

• Lead proposals, qualifications packages, letters of interest, and interview materials for private- and public-sector opportunities.
• Review RFP/RFQ requirements, create compliance outlines, identify forms and attachments, and manage schedules through submission.
• Write and tailor technical narratives, project approaches, resumes, project descriptions, firm profiles, cover letters, and service qualifications.
• Design and format accurate, brand-aligned proposal packages in Adobe InDesign.
• Collaborate with principals, project managers, subject-matter experts, legal, finance, and leadership stakeholders.
• Maintain reusable proposal content, templates, graphics, resumes, project sheets, and client information in Deltek Vantagepoint and shared libraries.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in proposal writing, proposal coordination, marketing, business development, or qualifications preparation, preferably in AEC, infrastructure, environmental, or consulting industries.
• Significant hands-on proficiency with Adobe InDesign, including layouts, master pages, styles, tables, image placement, and final production.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, organization, compliance, and deadline-management skills.
• Experience developing RFP/RFQ responses, qualifications packages, resumes, project sheets, or technical marketing content.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Ability to work in-office four days per week at a hirify.global Florida office location.

Nice to have

• Experience with AEC public-sector procurement involving Florida municipalities, state agencies, universities, school districts, transportation agencies, or institutional clients.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint, Vision, or another AEC CRM or project database.
• Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, SharePoint, or proposal automation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• APMP, SMPS, CPSM, or similar professional involvement.
