Laboratory Contracting & Sourcing Director (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid work model requiring three days per week in the office, with office locations in Irving, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and Centennial, Colorado. Willingness to travel is required.

Salary: $102,400–$179,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop strategic sourcing strategies aligned with client priorities, organizational objectives, and market opportunities.
• Lead the full sourcing lifecycle, including requirements gathering, market assessments, RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contracting, implementation, and post-award activities.
• Negotiate complex supplier agreements covering commercial, operational, service, and financial terms.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, financial stability, innovation, market position, and performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary value analysis committees and present sourcing recommendations, financial analyses, and implementation plans to executive leadership.
• Analyze spend, utilization, supplier, operational, market, and financial data while measuring savings, value realization, quality, supply assurance, and implementation outcomes.

Requirements

• Relevant degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience required; laboratory experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in clinical laboratories, diagnostics, laboratory operations, healthcare providers, group purchasing organizations, consulting, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading complex enterprise sourcing initiatives involving laboratory diagnostics, analyzers, automation, reagents, reference laboratory services, lab operations, or clinical testing.
• Strong supplier contract negotiation, analytical, communication, presentation, relationship management, and consensus-building skills.
• Advanced AI fluency and the ability to critically evaluate and responsibly apply AI solutions in complex business environments.
