Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States

Annual base salary: $96,000–$132,000, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

  • Own technical quality for active metal additive product lines and support the transition from development into scalable production.
  • Develop and execute IQ/OQ/PQ process validation protocols and implement SPC frameworks to monitor build stability and Cpk.
  • Lead cross-functional root-cause investigations for complex product and process defects, including CAPA implementation using 8D methodologies.
  • Establish and validate mechanical and metallurgical testing protocols for titanium alloys and high-temperature metals.
  • Maintain quality records including Device Master Records, Engineering Change Orders, and FMEAs.
  • Verify incoming metal powder quality and partner with customer teams on First Article Inspection milestone approvals.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of quality engineering experience in advanced manufacturing or metal additive manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of process validation, SPC, 8D root-cause analysis, GD&T, and metallurgical and mechanical testing.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 quality management systems and engineering change management.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloys in Laser Powder Bed Fusion or additive manufacturing workflows.
  • ASQ CQE or CRE certification, or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
