Finance Manager, Product

Location: Remote, USA; in-office culture with the role ideally based in Houston, San Francisco, or LA/Long Beach. Exceptions may be considered for exceptional candidates outside these hubs.

What you will do

• Own BOM-level cost reporting across product lines, including material, labor, overhead, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Build standard costing models, cost roll-ups, COGS forecasts, and actual-to-forecast variance analysis.
• Partner with procurement, manufacturing, operations, sales, RevOps, and engineering on supplier costs, sourcing, pricing, and quote-level margin analysis.
• Manage overhead allocation, capital expenditures, inventory valuation, cost accruals, and COGS reporting.
• Build product-line P&L views and dashboards covering COGS, margins, revenue operations, and pipeline data.
• Own budgeting and forecasting for product finance and present analysis at monthly and quarterly business reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, cost accounting, product line finance, or a related finance function.
• Meaningful experience in manufacturing, hardware, or infrastructure, including direct BOM-level, standard, or product costing.
• Experience partnering with procurement or supply chain teams on material cost forecasting, supplier analysis, and working capital forecasting.
• Working knowledge of HubSpot or a comparable CRM and experience converting pipeline data into financial reporting.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets modeling skills, with experience building dashboards and reporting infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; exposure to inventory, cost variance, or audit-readiness controls.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Mandarin, spoken and written, for work with China-based suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Experience in energy, data centers, power infrastructure, hyperscalers, or capital equipment manufacturing.
• SQL or BI experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Experience with SAP, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems for BOM and costing data.
• Experience supporting rapid scaling or a fundraise as an internal finance team member.
