Cost Accounting Manager

Location: Headquartered in north Austin, Texas. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations is required under ITAR regulations.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing cost accounting activities, including month-end close, cost maintenance, labor and overhead absorption, inventory management, and freight and duty tracking.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, inventory control, internal audit, FP&A, and production teams to understand cost drivers and improve processes.
• Monitor cycle counts and inventory accuracy, perform cost and work-order variance analyses, and support budget-versus-actual reviews.
• Maintain ERP accuracy, own process enhancements, and scale the system for evolving manufacturing requirements.
• Support bill-of-material accuracy, cost-reduction analysis, financial reporting, audits, and SOX compliance.
• Prepare accounting schedules and reporting for internal and external stakeholders while serving as a trusted business advisor.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of supply chain, receiving, inventory flow, operations, and manufacturing principles.
• Experience analyzing transactional detail in an ERP system and communicating findings to management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project-management, and time-management skills.
• Must meet U.S. government export-control eligibility requirements under ITAR.
