Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $205,000–$255,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus and equity

What you will do

• Design and improve the Arena user interface across web and mobile platforms.
• Own product design work end to end, from early concepts through production-ready specifications.
• Translate complex technical workflows into clear, intuitive, and trustworthy user experiences.
• Apply visual and persuasive design principles to create engaging product flows.
• Build and maintain UI components, patterns, and visual standards in the design system.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, ML research, marketing, and go-to-market teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in product UI/UX design.
• Ability to balance the needs of technical users with playful, engaging design.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design and usability testing methodologies.
• Experience managing style guides and component libraries with strong attention to detail.
• Must be based in the United States; visa sponsorship is available for exceptional candidates.

Nice to have

• Experience designing gamified consumer applications, tooling, or chat interfaces.
• Experience working at an early-stage startup.
• Understanding of AI safety principles or ethical considerations in AI systems.
• Familiarity with front-end development or coding.
