Forward Deployed Product Designer (AI)

Location: Forward-deployed role requiring regular on-site work with government and defense customers, frequent travel to customer sites, and direct stakeholder engagement.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end design from ambiguous requirements through wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and shipped customer-facing experiences.
• Partner with Product from project inception to define high-stakes government and defense workflows.
• Design dashboards, mapping interfaces, alerting systems, and analytical reporting tools for planning, operations, and research.
• Work directly in code with engineers to refine and implement the product experience.
• Build relationships with customer stakeholders and present design decisions in person.
• Contribute interaction patterns to the broader platform and support portfolio reviews and interviews.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience across a range of design settings and problem types.
• Experience owning end-to-end B2B or enterprise product experiences at a senior or staff level.
• Experience designing complex workflows, dashboards, or data-heavy and mapping interfaces.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Working understanding of frontend development and implementable design handoff.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites and work on-site with customers.

Nice to have

• Experience presenting directly to senior stakeholders in a client-facing role.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools and use of AI in the design workflow.
• Experience contributing to design systems or shared interaction patterns.
