Senior Product Designer

Location: San Francisco, CA · Hybrid

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 base salary annually, plus equity, benefits, and an annual bonus or commission plan.

What you will do

• Research customer needs through interviews, usability studies, workflow reviews, competitive research, and product-data analysis.
• Frame ambiguous business and customer needs into clear problems, measurable outcomes, and practical design hypotheses.
• Design end-to-end experiences across onboarding, configuration, integrations, API keys, sandbox testing, case management, dashboards, and ongoing operations.
• Create and test flows, prototypes, and realistic AI-assisted or coded concepts, including loading, permissions, errors, uncertain results, and recovery states.
• Produce detailed designs and specifications, partner with product and engineering through implementation, and perform design QA.
• Contribute reusable patterns to the design system and improve consistency across Figma, coded components, documentation, and shipped products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience designing and shipping digital products from discovery through delivery.
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product thinking, research, alternatives, tradeoffs, implementation, edge cases, and outcomes.
• Strong research, synthesis, problem framing, interaction design, visual design, information architecture, accessibility, and responsive design skills.
• Experience designing technically complex products such as self-serve, developer-facing, SaaS, fintech, workflow, or platform products.
• Technical fluency for collaboration on APIs, data, system behavior, integrations, front-end constraints, and implementation tradeoffs.
• Practical experience with Figma and AI tools such as Figma AI, Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, plus experience with design systems and reusable components.

Nice to have

• Experience with developer tools, APIs, SDKs, webhooks, hosted UI components, or technical documentation.
• Experience with sandbox, test-mode, simulation, staging, environment-management, pricing, billing, usage metering, or entitlement workflows.
• Background in fintech, identity, fraud, compliance, crypto, marketplaces, infrastructure, or other trust-sensitive domains.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, AI-assisted workflows, agentic products, or conversational interfaces.
• Experience with accessibility standards, content design, or responsible AI and trust patterns.
