EHS Emergency Response Coordinator (Nuclear Technology)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States. Travel required: 0–10%.

Salary: $116,853–$151,757 per year, with the range specific to Washington State.

What you will do

• Develop location-specific Incident Command structures and support onsite Incident Commanders using ICS protocols until emergency services arrive.
• Build, train, and deploy an internal Community Emergency Response Team for disaster medical operations and light rescue.
• Design evacuation routes, shelter-in-place procedures, emergency action plans, crisis plans, and drills for earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, fires, and other events.
• Maintain site compliance with federal, state, and local EHS requirements, including NRC, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, OSHA 1910.38, and local fire codes.
• Conduct inspections, audits, hazard and exposure assessments, environmental monitoring, incident investigations, and corrective-action planning.
• Lead EHS training, performance tracking, continuous improvement, and collaboration with operations, training, field service, and local leadership teams.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience coordinating emergency preparedness, disaster logistics, or industrial safety operations.
• Verified FEMA training completion for IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700.
• Certified CERT Trainer, OSHA 30-Hour certification, and advanced First Aid/CPR/AED Wilderness or First Responder credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Expertise in hazard vulnerability assessments, radio communication protocols, high-stress command execution, exposure assessment, and hazard controls.
• Leadership or management experience, strong analytical and communication skills, integrity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
