What you will do

• Develop and maintain EHS programs, including hazardous materials and emergency response plans, in compliance with legislation.
• Manage the Electrical Safety Program, aligning with OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis to record and maintain safety-related data.
• Provide technical guidance on electrical hazard identification, arc flash and shock risk assessments, and the hierarchy of controls.
• Perform in-person audits, inspections, and investigations across various laboratory and office environments.
• Partner with Facilities and Laboratory services to ensure site-wide compliance and support continuous improvement (5S) activities.

Requirements

• University Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.
• One of the following: Related Master’s degree, Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Professional Engineer (PE) license, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP).
• 4+ years of directly related experience in EHS and electrical safety.
• NFPA 70E electrical safety training or equivalent demonstrated competency.
• Experience supporting arc flash studies, electrical equipment labeling, and energized electrical work permits.
• Ability to travel up to 10-15% and work flexible shifts (days, nights, or weekends) as needed.
