Location: Richland, Washington, United States
Salary: $150,000–$190,000 annually

is developing uranium enrichment services in the United States to support domestic nuclear fuel production.
What you will do
- Own and continuously improve the 10 CFR 851 Worker Safety and Health Program for construction activities.
- Translate regulatory requirements into training, hazard assessment, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, recordkeeping, and performance-monitoring processes.
- Implement safety controls for construction in radiologically controlled areas, including radiological worker training and contamination control.
- Prepare and document JSAs, Activity Hazard Analyses, and Construction Work Packages.
- Provide field oversight of construction contractors and subcontractors, conduct pre-job briefings and inspections, and coordinate with construction management and facility operations.
- Manage DOE occurrence reporting, OSHA construction recordkeeping, investigations, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, health physics, chemical engineering, industrial hygiene, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in construction safety management, preferably at DOE sites or nuclear facilities.
- Working knowledge of 10 CFR 851, 10 CFR 835, NRC 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, OSHA construction standards, WAC 296, WAC 173-303, and DOE O 413.3B.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to make clear recommendations using first principles and partial information.
- Ability to stand, lift, and carry equipment up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
Nice to have
- Experience in a fast-paced engineering or highly technical environment.
- CSP, CHST, CIH, or CHMM certification, or OSHA 500/510 construction outreach trainer qualification.
- Experience with DOE or nuclear construction safety, radiological work permits, ALARA planning, concrete and steel construction, excavation, rigging, hoisting, and confined-space entry.
