EHS Specialist

Location: Atlanta, Georgia; must reside within or close to Atlanta, GA. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays. Travel up to 65% within the region, including customer sites and other offices, with approximately 25% overnight stays.

Salary: $65,200–$118,860 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Coordinate environmental, health, and safety processes across assigned commercial sales and service offices.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, audits, and jobsite visits with field technicians at customer locations.
• Maintain safety, occupational health, environmental, training, PPE, and inspection records in compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
• Deliver new-hire, annual, high-risk, and other safety training, including designing training materials and maintaining training databases.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, incidents, and accidents; coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead safety committees, support contractor qualification and workers’ compensation programs, and use Gensuite to manage inspections, reports, and action tracking.

Requirements

• Must be based within or close to Atlanta, Georgia, and able to work onsite Monday through Thursday.
• At least 3 years of practical safety experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of environmental, health, and safety programs, hazard recognition, mitigation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with EHS data management systems such as Gensuite is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required. Ability to work at heights and in hot and cold environments is also required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental or safety sciences/engineering, or a related field.
• Safety certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHSM.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA, MSHA, DOT, and regionally applicable Canadian health and safety requirements.
• Bilingual communication skills.
