Afterhours and Weekend Carrier Sales Representative (Logistics)

Location: Chicago, IL; full-time onsite/hybrid position. Scheduled operating hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with mandatory Saturday and Sunday shifts based on coverage needs.

Salary: $45,000–$50,000 per year.

What you will do

• Track shipments from dispatch through delivery using phone calls and electronic tracking tools.
• Communicate freight updates to customers, carriers, and internal operations teams.
• Provide and negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability.
• Coordinate customer freight with available motor carrier equipment and schedule trucks.
• Build service relationships with motor carriers and resolve operational issues.
• Verify freight charges, manage Bills of Lading, and resolve payment and commodity-return discrepancies.
