Transit Manager (Public Transit Operations)

Location: Based in Prescott, Arizona, with onsite work 4–5 days a week and willingness to travel to Prescott 2–3 days a week.

Salary: $63,000–$72,000 per year, excluding equity or variable pay where applicable.

What you will do

• Run daily onsite transit operations to provide safe, reliable, and accessible transportation.
• Make real-time decisions involving fleet operations, driver supply, compliance, rider needs, and unexpected service issues.
• Guide and support drivers by building relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring operational readiness.
• Use rider and community feedback to identify patterns and implement actionable service improvements.
• Use data and technology to assess performance, diagnose problems, and improve operational efficiency and rider experience.
• Coordinate between city partners, drivers, and central teams to deliver community transportation goals.

Requirements

• Operational experience in people management, logistics, customer service, or process-oriented work.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and follow-through skills with drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners.
• Hands-on and proactive approach, with a preference for field-based problem solving.
• Ability to solve immediate operational issues while developing longer-term solutions.
• Motivation to expand access to transportation and improve how communities move.
• Based in Prescott, Arizona and ready to work onsite 4–5 days a week.
