What you will do

• Lead daily yard hostler activities to ensure safe and timely movement of trailers supporting inbound and outbound operations.
• Plan and schedule shift coverage for a 24/7 operation, including vacations, holidays, and callouts.
• Monitor yard workflow, trailer staging, and dock door utilization to maintain efficient equipment flow.
• Coach and develop yard hostlers through ongoing performance feedback and training reinforcement.
• Partner with transportation and warehouse leadership to prioritize trailer movement and resolve yard constraints.
• Enforce yard and warehouse safety rules and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, transportation, or logistics operations.
• Proven experience leading and developing frontline operations teams (hostlers, spotters, or warehouse associates).
• Working knowledge of yard management systems, dock operations, and safe hostler operating practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or valid visa holder).
