Okta Technical Consultant (Okta Identity Governance/OIG)

What you will do

• Design and implement Okta Identity Governance solutions, including SSO, MFA, and Adaptive Authentication.
• Integrate Okta with SaaS, cloud, and on-premises applications using SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Configure Lifecycle Management and automate joiner-mover-leaver provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
• Implement access requests, access reviews, certifications, and entitlement management.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Customer Success teams across deployment and post-implementation support.
• Manage multiple client engagements, troubleshoot Okta authentication and provisioning issues, and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Consultant delivering enterprise IAM solutions.
• Proven experience configuring and implementing Okta Identity Governance is required.
• 2–4+ years of hands-on Okta experience, including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and application integrations.
• Strong understanding of SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
• Experience integrating Okta with enterprise applications and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Okta Professional, Administrator, or Consultant certification; an Okta Identity Governance badge is preferred.
• Experience with Okta Identity Engine and advanced authentication policies.
• Knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow, CyberArk, or similar IAM platforms.
• Familiarity with SOX, ISO, or GDPR compliance frameworks, RBAC, governance models, scripting, automation, or Okta API integrations.
