Customer Identity Engineer (Okta CIAM)

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod platform for insulin delivery and other subcutaneous drug therapies.

What you will do

• Administer and enhance Okta CIAM configurations, including authentication policies, MFA enrollment, session management, and sign-on policies.
• Build and optimize customer identity flows for registration, login, account recovery, and step-up authentication.
• Implement customer identity features such as custom claims, token and session behavior, and Authorization Server configurations.
• Design and troubleshoot integrations with customer-facing applications using OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML 2.0.
• Build automation with Okta Workflows, event hooks, inline hooks, and scripting to improve operational consistency.
• Monitor authentication signals, respond to incidents, support compliance evidence collection, and maintain identity documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Relevant engineering experience with hands-on Okta experience in a customer identity context.
• Strong understanding of CIAM fundamentals, including authentication flows, MFA enrollment, session management, and secure customer login patterns.
• Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SAML 2.0.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup based in London, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Okta Administrator or Professional certification.
• Experience with Authorization Servers, custom claims, token customization, hooks, and identity log integration with monitoring or SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with NIST, SOC 2, and HIPAA frameworks.
• Experience with ITSM and change management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Experience managing identity configuration with Terraform and applying automation and repeatability practices.
