Learning Design Lead

Location: Hybrid, approximately 3 days per week in-office, with candidates required to live in or relocate to a commutable distance from the Louisville, KY metropolitan area or Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Salary: $94,900–$130,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Assess performance and knowledge gaps with business and HR leaders and define development priorities.
• Design, deliver, and scale leadership development programs across virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats.
• Develop e-learning modules, instructor-led sessions, multimedia assets, and other learning content using instructional design best practices.
• Manage multiple initiatives end to end, including timelines, resources, stakeholders, logistics, communications, participant tracking, and reporting.
• Build measurement strategies, analyze feedback and business impact, and continuously improve program effectiveness.
• Integrate generative AI tools and AI-enabled learning platforms to accelerate development and scale content creation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, learning and development, education, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
• 8+ years of experience designing and developing corporate leadership training, including e-learning and instructor-led sessions.
• 5+ years facilitating corporate training across in-person, virtual, and hybrid modalities.
• Experience facilitating leadership programs with executive presence and at least 3 years guiding leaders and engaging executive stakeholders.
• Experience with adult learning theory, instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM, performance improvement, learning systems, and AI-enabled learning platforms.
• Proficiency with multimedia and e-learning tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Cornerstone on Demand, and virtual collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in instructional design, education, learning technologies, or a related field.
• Certifications in learning, coaching, or leadership assessment, such as ICF-ACC, CPTD/APTD, DiSC, CliftonStrengths, or similar.
• Experience managing courses in Cornerstone on Demand or a similar LMS.
• Experience in technology, healthcare, or insurance environments.
