Manager, Retail Learning Design

Location: Los Angeles HQ, hybrid; candidates must be Los Angeles-based and able to travel up to 25%

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design digital, instructor-led, blended, and micro-learning experiences for onboarding, product knowledge, selling behaviors, leadership development, customer experience, and operational excellence.
• Create facilitator guides, digital modules, job aids, assessments, videos, storyboards, and other learning resources.
• Build and maintain learning content in Articulate Rise 360, LMS platforms, and emerging learning technologies.
• Establish content governance, version control, publishing schedules, review cycles, learning calendars, and operational standards.
• Develop assessments, reporting tools, feedback mechanisms, and metrics to measure learning effectiveness and improve retention and business performance.
• Manage concurrent learning projects from concept through launch while coordinating stakeholders, timelines, approvals, production schedules, and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in instructional design, learning and development, education, retail training, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in instructional design, retail learning, learning development, or training content creation.
• Experience with Articulate Rise 360 or comparable e-learning authoring platforms and LMS content management.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, customer experience, instructional design, writing, editing, storytelling, and blended learning.
• Strong project management, organizational, stakeholder management, and content governance skills.
• Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and AI productivity tools.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting multi-store retail organizations or fashion, beauty, apparel, luxury, or specialty retail.
• Exposure to international retail environments and learning localization.
• Knowledge of learner experience, UX principles, or adult learning methodologies.
