Sr Staff Data Scientist (FinTech)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid with on-site expectations of 2–3 days per week

Salary: $184,000–$225,000 USD annually for Tier 1 NYC/Bay Area markets, with geographic adjustments outside listed cities

hirify.global is a growth-stage FinTech company building rent payment and consumer bill management products that help users align payments with their cash flow and build credit.

What you will do

• Build and maintain core dbt and Snowflake data models supporting reporting, experimentation, and ML and credit risk use cases.
• Analyze bill payment timing, splitting, delinquency, and credit-building outcomes to evaluate the pilot and guide improvements.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to instrument features such as bill splitting, smart scheduling, and credit-building.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments for pricing, credit terms, and product flows.
• Create dashboards and self-service tools for Product, Risk, and GTM teams.
• Set technical direction for scalable data models and pipelines, while mentoring analysts and engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience spanning analytics engineering and data science or analyst work.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt and Snowflake or an equivalent modern data stack.
• Experience with BI tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Mode, or Looker and building dashboards for non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record designing and analyzing A/B tests or quasi-experimental methods.
• Confidence partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders and strong ownership.
• Experience with credit, risk, or FinTech data is advantageous.
