Staff Data Scientist, ML (People Analytics & Insights)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Menlo Park, CA; Chicago, IL; or New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance required at least 3 days per week.

Base pay: $217,000–$255,000 USD in Zone 1; $191,000–$224,000 USD in Zone 2; $170,000–$199,000 USD in Zone 3, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build predictive workforce frameworks that identify organizational trends, talent drivers, and retention risks.
• Develop a unified employee-lifecycle data model from recruiting, performance, survey, and internal systems.
• Use language models and AI-native workflows to process and summarize unstructured employee feedback at scale.
• Define company-wide metrics, semantic layers, access controls, and data-masking frameworks for sensitive personnel data.
• Design continuous employee-listening systems that surface real-time organizational health indicators.
• Own internal data-product delivery and apply experimental design, A/B testing, and psychometric methods to ensure statistical validity.

Requirements

• 7+ years of data science experience.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills, with experience using Snowflake, BigQuery, or dbt.
• Experience defining user requirements and taking internal data tools from conception to launch.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, experimental design, and psychometrics or survey methodology.
• Hands-on experience integrating language models into data pipelines for large-scale text processing and summarization.
• Ability to work from one of the specified U.S. offices with in-person attendance at least 3 days per week.
