Data Scientist (AI)

Location: NYC Office; on-site. Paid relocation support is available for moving to NYC.

Salary: $150,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity, bonus, and up to a 40% annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Build and improve demand and sales forecasting models across thousands of noisy retail time series.
• Measure promotion lift, price elasticity, and cannibalization to support promotional strategy.
• Develop statistical checks and evaluation methods that maintain model quality as real-world data flows into the platform.
• Turn exploratory analyses into production-grade insights shipped inside the product.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and communicate model results to brand operators and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on data science experience with real-world data.
• Strong statistical foundations in regression, time-series methods, experiment design, and uncertainty quantification.
• Fluency in Python and SQL, with experience in modern data stacks including Snowflake and dbt.
• Ability to validate analyses, sanity-check results, communicate uncertainty, and explain models to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site at the NYC office.

Nice to have

• Experience with retail, CPG, supply-chain, or demand-planning data.
• Experience shipping models into production systems.
• Familiarity with forecasting at scale, including hierarchical forecasting and intermittent demand.
• Experience with AWS.
