Senior Director, Interoperability (Healthcare)

Salary: $257,500–$290,000 annually

What you will do

• Set the multi-year interoperability vision and translate it into measurable improvements in clinical quality, operational efficiency, and data reliability.
• Define and deliver interoperability compliance across the evolving regulatory landscape, including CMS Interoperability and Prior Authorization requirements.
• Lead and grow clinical data acquisition, integration operations, and telephony teams within the technology organization.
• Align Clinical, Operations, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders around shared interoperability priorities and remove systemic blockers.
• Develop and manage a multi-million-dollar vendor portfolio and reduce integration risk.
• Represent organizational interests with providers, regulators, and industry partners while advising senior leadership on interoperability decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including leading other leaders and scaling multi-function organizations.
• Deep expertise in healthcare data exchange standards and regulations, including FHIR, HL7, C-CDA, CMS Interoperability rules, ASTP/ONC, TEFCA, and information blocking.
• Experience integrating EHR, clinical, claims, and pharmacy data and delivering regulatory and business outcomes through technical and operational programs.
• Experience building strategic roadmaps, aligning diverse stakeholders, and driving measurable execution.
• Experience negotiating multi-million-dollar vendor relationships and managing budgets.
• Experience representing an organization with providers, regulators, and industry forums.

Nice to have

• Experience in provider, payer, EHR, health information network, or clinical data intermediary environments.
• Understanding of value-based care and risk-bearing provider models.
• Direct regulatory engagement and interoperability policy experience.
• Strong financial modeling and budgeting skills.
