What you will do

• Build, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of algorithm engineers and software developers.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for surgical navigation algorithms and software platforms.
• Lead development of algorithms for image registration, 3D reconstruction, tracking, and real-time navigation.
• Ensure robust software architecture and integration with medical device hardware.
• Collaborate with clinical experts, product managers, and regulatory teams to translate surgical workflows into technical solutions.
• Lead prototyping, feasibility studies, design transfer, and product innovation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software development and algorithm design, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery or augmented reality in healthcare, clinical workflows, and surgeon needs.
• Expertise in image processing, image registration, tracking, medical imaging, or surgical navigation algorithms.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, real-time systems, Qt, QML, and test-driven programming.
• Experience developing medical devices and working with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, HIPAA, cybersecurity, design controls, verification, and validation.
