CNC Associate Model Maker, 2nd Shift (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Fabricate models, prototypes, test parts, and low-volume instruments and implants using CNC and manual mills, lathes, and EDM equipment.
• Support product development from initial concepts through design, prototyping, testing, verification, validation, manufacturing, and product introduction.
• Participate in design meetings and brainstorming sessions, providing input to improve existing designs.
• Calibrate measurement equipment and machines in accordance with the quality system.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, servicing, cleaning, and upkeep.
• Assist with manufacturing process and tooling development while managing multiple projects.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in machining, tool and die making, or model making; medical device experience is preferred.
• Experience with CNC and manual mills, lathes, and EDM machines.
• High school diploma.
• Creative design skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mastercam or related CAM software.
• Experience in the medical device industry.
