AI Program Manager

Location: Hybrid onsite in Buffalo, NY; must live locally or be willing to relocate to the area.

Salary: $145,000–$175,000 annually.

What you will do

• Translate steering committee strategy, investment thresholds, and portfolio allocation into an executable AI Enablement Center roadmap and operating cadence.
• Own initiative intake, prioritization, sequencing, and capacity planning across three AI model types.
• Run portfolio governance, including status reporting, risk and issue tracking, resource allocation, and stage-gate reviews.
• Monitor enterprise AI performance and ROI and consolidate results for steering committee reporting.
• Maintain a rolling two-to-three-year roadmap and identify cross-group conflicts, duplicated initiatives, and resource constraints.
• Partner with operating group leads to align local use cases with enterprise portfolio guardrails.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• More than eight years of program or portfolio management experience, ideally in technology, digital transformation, or innovation.
• Demonstrated ability to drive prioritization in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.
• Strong executive reporting, synthesis, and senior governance presentation skills.
• Ability to operate within a strategic governance structure established by others rather than independently setting strategy.
• Must be local to the Buffalo, NY area or willing to relocate and work onsite.

Nice to have

• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification.
• Familiarity with AI/ML delivery patterns.
