Technical Program Manager - Software Engineering (AI)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $170,000–$240,000 USD base salary per year

What you will do

• Lead software programs and initiatives across multiple teams and locations.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and capabilities.
• Build comprehensive program plans covering concurrent team efforts and improve delivery visibility and scalability.
• Support the full development-to-deployment lifecycle, including requirements gathering, scope management, schedule tracking, qualitative testing, and documentation.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes across multiple workstreams.
• Communicate analyses, recommendations, and technical trade-offs to executives and engineering teams while driving process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in technical program management.
• 3+ years of experience in software or ML development.
• Experience working with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience launching software products from research through production.
• Experience with roadmap planning, forecasting, and release process management.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
• Experience working with highly skilled and independent engineers.
