Operations Research Scientist (Logistics)

What you will do

• Apply advanced supply chain analytics, simulation, data science, and optimization techniques to network design, transportation, routing, warehousing, fulfillment, and planning problems.
• Develop proofs of concept and lead continuous improvement projects that reduce supply chain costs or improve service performance.
• Analyze transportation network design, fulfillment policies, warehousing operations, and multiple freight modes, including truckload, LTL, parcel, and HWA freight.
• Manage cross-functional programs involving multiple organizations, outsourced logistics providers, and freight forwarders.
• Define objectives, analyze data, track milestones, and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deploy measurable improvements.
• Produce optimization scenario reports and dashboards using Tableau and Power BI while contributing to supply chain optimization thought leadership.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• 7–10 years of experience in supply chain analytics, logistics, transportation, or a related function.
• At least 5 years of hands-on data modeling experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, including regression, classification, and decision trees.
• At least 5 years of experience with optimization or modeling tools such as BY TMOD, Llamasoft, Gurobi, CPLEX, or Xpress.
• Experience with machine learning algorithms and optimization approaches including clustering, classification, reinforcement learning, LP, and MILP.

Nice to have

• PhD or MS in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP and WMS software.
• Semiconductor or technology industry experience.
• Experience in spares and service or aftermarket operations.
