Senior Building Commissioning Agents (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering)

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA; telecommuting is available, but the role requires in-office work three days per week and residence in the Fort Lauderdale region. Domestic travel is limited to no more than eight days per year.

What you will do

• Review MEP drawings, specifications, Owner’s Project Requirements, and Basis of Design documents to evaluate energy efficiency.
• Perform measurement, verification, commissioning, and retro-commissioning activities.
• Develop pre-functional and functional testing forms in compliance with green building practices.
• Collect energy-use data through jobsite observations, field inspections, and submetering.
• Visit project sites, inspect HVAC and other energy systems, and perform functional tests of MEP equipment.
• Prepare commissioning reports, energy documentation, Systems Manuals, O&M plans, and ongoing commissioning plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• At least two years of commissioning experience in the building industry.
• At least two years of experience with Bluebeam, Procore, BlueRithm, and Building Management Systems.
• Experience using infrared thermometers and light meters.
• Experience reviewing construction documents and MEP drawings, troubleshooting field issues, and communicating with owners and contractors.
• LEED AP certification or eligibility for certification through Green Business Certification Inc.
