Mechanical Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Manage multidisciplinary healthcare projects from concept through construction, maintaining scope, schedule, and budget alignment.
• Lead mechanical design for hospitals, free-standing emergency departments, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical office buildings.
• Perform load calculations, select equipment, and design mechanical rooms, powerhouse systems, instrumentation, controls, energy management, ductwork, and piping.
• Work directly with clients and owners to determine project needs and maintain professional relationships.
• Review project submittals, apply applicable codes and owner guidelines, and conduct due diligence and construction administration trips.
• Prepare technical reports, project assessments, and specifications while coaching developing engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience; healthcare-specific design experience is preferred.
• Experience using Revit to create 3D models, families, schedules, and system layouts.
• Project management and engineering consulting experience.
• Knowledge of engineering theories, methodologies, project approaches, and system design.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
