Payments Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Cyprus; full remote work available. An office-based option is available in Limassol for candidates already living there.

hirify.global is developing a payment orchestration platform that helps merchants improve payment performance through intelligent routing, payment recovery, fraud prevention, and access to multiple payment providers through one integration.

What you will do

• Monitor and optimize payment performance across merchants, processors, payment methods, markets, and countries.
• Analyze approval rates, decline patterns, routing performance, retries, cascading, 3DS, and transaction success.
• Perform deep-dive analyses to identify trends, anomalies, root causes, and optimization opportunities.
• Measure the impact of product features, processor integrations, routing changes, payment initiatives, and A/B experiments.
• Build dashboards and reports, define payment and product KPIs, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Product, Merchant Solutions, Processor Integrations, Solution Engineering, Integration Analytics, and ML teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Product Analyst, Payments Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries and window functions.
• Experience with BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Experience using Python, Pandas, and Jupyter Notebook for data analysis.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and experience working with large datasets.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience in FinTech, payments, SaaS, or e-commerce.
• Understanding of payment processing, payment orchestration, PSP integrations, routing, retries, cascading, and 3DS authentication.
• Knowledge of payment KPIs, fraud metrics, chargebacks, RDR, and risk signals.
• Experience with product analytics, experimentation, and feature adoption metrics.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
