What you will do

• Own the dbt project, including transformations, reusable macros, tests, modeling rules, and project conventions.
• Consolidate legacy transformations into unified and standardized data pipelines.
• Implement data quality checks across Silver and Gold layers using dbt and related tooling.
• Design golden-record determination and conflict-resolution strategies for master and reference data.
• Build the canonical data model, semantic Gold layer, and data catalog.
• Deliver Gold-layer data to end consumers, including integration with frontend systems.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer.
• Expert-level dbt experience covering modeling, reusable macros, tests, project structure, and conventions.
• Strong SQL skills, including query and database-engine optimization involving indexes, partitions, and data layout.
• Hands-on experience with data quality tools such as dbt tests, Great Expectations, or Soda.
• Experience designing canonical and semantic layers, dimensional models, and database modeling patterns.
• Experience with master and reference data management, golden-record logic, and translating Go or Python logic into SQL.
