BI Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Larnaca, Cyprus; hybrid work model with 2 days working from home

What you will do

• Clean, process, and analyse large datasets using SQL and Python for reporting, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and key business metrics.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders and collaborate with data scientists and other teams.
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, DAX calculations, and SSAS models.
• Document BI models, queries, data flows, and integration processes.
• Guide business users on BI tools, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making practices while following data governance and privacy protocols.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services or brokerage environments.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience creating dashboards, reports, and visualisations in Power BI, with working knowledge of DAX.
• Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services for OLAP modelling.
• Excellent command of English and legal authorisation to work in Cyprus are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of trading platforms, trade lifecycle, order execution, CFD mechanics, margin, leverage, and risk management.
• Familiarity with MetaTrader MT4/MT5 and real-time trading data.
• Experience with Python-based data analysis, machine learning, or trading-behaviour analytics.
• Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or other cloud-based data solutions.
