Senior Backend JavaScript Developer (Node.js)

Location: Hybrid position in San Francisco, California

What you will do

• Develop and deliver product features end to end, from conception through production.
• Participate in system design and architecture planning to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Take ownership of independent responsibilities while contributing to shared team goals.
• Apply current engineering best practices and adapt to evolving technologies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on development or engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on backend JavaScript development.
• Strong Node.js experience and familiarity with MongoDB, Express, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, and Snowflake.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, CORS, WebSockets, and network security.
• Proficiency in system design and architecture for functional, performant, scalable, and reliable products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agile environment.

Nice to have

• Front-end experience with HTML, CSS, and React.
