Lead Solutions Consultant for APJ (AI): Designing and delivering tailored demos, prototypes, proof-of-concept environments, and enterprise Language AI solutions for Japanese and APJ customers with an accent on APIs, enterprise workflows, security, and complex deal execution. Focus on mapping translation, Voice, and integration capabilities to business outcomes, building reusable team frameworks, and influencing strategic opportunities across Sales, Product, and Engineering.
Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work with office attendance twice a week

What you will do
- Partner with Account Executives on strategy for strategic and complex enterprise opportunities across APJ.
- Map DeepL’s Language AI platform to customer business goals, integration needs, and enterprise workflows.
- Lead technical discovery and build tailored demos, presentations, prototypes, POCs, and proof-of-value environments covering translation, APIs, and DeepL Voice.
- Advise customers throughout complex sales cycles on REST APIs, SSO, real-time streaming, security, and compliance.
- Create reusable demo environments, ROI models, discovery frameworks, pitch materials, and best-practice guides.
- Mentor Solutions Consultants and collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to improve deal execution and product direction.
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English required.
- 7+ years of client-facing technical experience in Solutions Consulting, Solutions Engineering, or Pre-Sales.
- Experience in enterprise SaaS, AI, CCaaS, language technology, or a comparable environment.
- Hands-on experience building customer-facing demos, prototypes, POCs, or proof-of-value environments.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Azure AD, SaaS integrations, data residency, security, and governance.
- Advanced presentation, facilitation, public speaking, enterprise stakeholder management, and workflow transformation skills.
