Manager Cost Accounting (Manufacturing)

Location: Fully onsite at the Aston, PA facility, United States

Salary: $155,000–$165,000 per year

Manufacturing business specializing in emergency arresting systems for military aircraft, with facilities in Aston, Pennsylvania, and Gente, France.

What you will do

• Lead cost accounting activities covering standard costing, inventory accounting, cost allocations, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead and analyze manufacturing variances, including material, labor, overhead, and scrap.
• Prepare cost analyses, KPIs, dashboards, and reports for business units and Program Management Offices.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, long-term planning, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment.
• Identify cost-reduction and operational-efficiency opportunities and lead continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Manage and develop cost accounting staff and matrixed Program Financial Analysts while partnering with Program Management, Operations, and Supply Chain.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• At least 7 years of cost accounting experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory and warehouse management, cycle counts, standard costing systems, and variance analysis.
• Experience extracting ERP financial information, ideally using Infor Syteline or a similar system.
• Strong Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to work onsite in Aston, Pennsylvania; ability to travel up to 10% is required.

Nice to have

• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience presenting financial insights to senior management.
