Senior Inventory and Cost Analyst (Medtech)

Location: Remote – US; blended remote and on-site setting. West Coast candidates are preferred to align with senior management time zones.

Salary: $94,000–$122,000 per year

What you will do

• Support timely and accurate month-end close activities.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario or sensitivity analysis.
• Maintain annual standard cost updates and new part setup in the ERP system.
• Analyze cost of sales, absorption, purchase price variance, gross margins, and related inventory metrics.
• Partner with finance, operations, supply chain, procurement, and business leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Establish KPIs, reporting timelines, stakeholder communication cadences, governance, and audit controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, operations finance, or a related role.
• Experience with standard cost rolls and large data sets.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data merges, and filters.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Experience in a Sarbanes-Oxley-compliant environment and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.

Nice to have

• Experience with QAD, SAP, Adaptive, or other ERP and financial planning systems.
• Operations or manufacturing finance and cost accounting experience.
• Healthcare, medical device, public company, ERP implementation, or project management experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization and driving continuous improvement.
