Senior Accountant (Medtech)

Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States; on-site. Travel may be required to local Bethlehem sites within approximately 10 miles, with limited additional travel for training, audits, inventories, collaboration, or external meetings.

Salary: $62,000–$107,000 per year

What you will do

• Own inventory accounting and month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, rollforwards, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain standard costs, bills of material, routings, overhead rates, and related cost inputs in the ERP.
• Analyze purchase price, material usage, labor, overhead, production, inventory, cost-of-goods-sold, and gross-margin variances.
• Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and support cycle counts, physical inventories, reserves, and valuation adjustments.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets, audit schedules, control documentation, and decision-support analyses.
• Improve accounting processes, controls, automation, and scalability while providing technical guidance and cross-training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Five years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing or product costing.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, and large-data analysis.
• Experience with an enterprise resource planning system; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work independently, communicate clearly, and produce accurate, audit-ready documentation.
