What you will do

• Originate residential mortgage loans from bank-generated leads and self-generated referral opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other referral sources.
• Follow up with prospective customers and improve lead conversion against monthly production goals.
• Collect and analyze applications, borrower income, credit information, appraisals, title reports, and other required documentation.
• Manage loan files through processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post-closing.
• Explain mortgage programs and other bank financial products while maintaining strong customer service and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or an equivalent field.
• Less than two years of mortgage self-generated origination, sales, and loan-structuring experience.
• Knowledge of home lending processes, including processing, underwriting, closing, and funding.
• Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, organization, communication, and deadline-management skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers and software such as Word and Excel.
• Must be registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator under the S.A.F.E. Act and comply with Bank Closed-End MLO, Truth-in-Lending Act, and Regulation Z requirements.
